Location: Springfield, MA
Schedule: Full-time (5× 8-hour shifts/week)
Availability: Weekdays, mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay: $17/hour + tips

Job Summary:

Budtenders are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and product education in a regulated cannabis retail environment. They guide customers through product selection based on individual needs while ensuring compliance with local and state laws. Budtenders also support inventory control, cleanliness, and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide expert cannabis recommendations

• Maintain product knowledge and stay up-to-date on cannabis trends

• Handle transactions and maintain proper cash control

• Restock, clean, and organize POS stations and sales areas

• Support dispensary cleanliness, organization, and compliance

• Work collaboratively with team members and managers

• Ensure compliance with all cannabis laws and internal SOPs

• Complete side work and attend staff meetings as assigned

Qualifications:

• Age: 21+

• Experience:

  • Budtending or cannabis retail experience (preferred)

  • Strong customer service background

• Skills:

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

  • Cannabis product knowledge (strains, edibles, concentrates, etc.)

  • Precise math skills and attention to detail

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Ability to multitask and manage stress in a fast-paced setting

• Legal:

  • Must pass a criminal background check (LiveScan)

  • Valid U.S. work authorization

Physical Requirements:

• Stand/walk for up to 8 hours

• Lift up to 50 lbs safely

• Perform physical tasks (bending, squatting, cleaning, stocking)

• Maintain all areas of the dispensary including break rooms and restrooms

Customer Service Expectations:

• Provide every guest with a welcoming, informative, and positive experience

• Demonstrate deep product knowledge and a passion for cannabis

• Address customer needs, concerns, and questions with professionalism
