Day in the life of a Precision Lathe Specialist
Step into a stable, team‑focused shop where your craftsmanship matters. You’ll own the turning process from setup through final inspection, supporting a growing manufacturing operation that values reliability, detail, and safety.
Compensation & Schedule- Full-time
- Up to $35 per hour (based on experience)
- Monday–Friday
- Primary shift: 4:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. (end time flexible for the right candidate)
- Alternate shift available: 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- No weekends
- Run CNC lathes efficiently and safely to meet daily production goals.
- Machine parts to completion, holding print tolerances and meeting quality standards on every run.
- Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and other precision metrology tools.
- Interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and technical drawings to plan and execute work.
- Keep your cell organized—maintain a clean workstation and properly staged tooling and fixtures.
- Partner with leads and teammates while working independently when needed to move jobs forward.
- Follow all established safety protocols and quality procedures without exception.
- Hands-on CNC lathe experience (required).
- Solid knowledge of machining methods and inspection practices.
- Fluency in reading/understanding manufacturing drawings and documentation.
- Skill with measurement tools and gauging techniques.
- Keen attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while communicating proactively.
