Job Summary
Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks involved in the shipping and receiving of materials, supplies and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
⦁ Receive and distribute shipments of samples, supplies and equipment according to schedule or established methods.
⦁ Assists with the ordering of dept. supplies as well as the sites coffee and printer paper supplies.
⦁ Responsible for returning courier/sponsor credo coolers.
⦁ Assists with the Fooda and Prestige programs as needed.
⦁ Operate hand or power operated fork truck, pallet jack or other motorized equipment to unload and transport supplies or equipment.
⦁ Perform data entry in receiving materials through the current Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing program.
⦁ Prepare and Package outgoing materials for shipment to clients and other CRL sites according to IATA and DOT regulations.
⦁ Maintain the dock and the shipping and receivng area in an orderly fashion.
⦁ Prepare, maintain and distribute appropriate documentation for all materials shipped.
⦁ Coordinate same day courier pick-ups relative to study and site needs, as necessary.
⦁ May assist in training entry-level Shipping and Receiving employees.
⦁ Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is between $22.00 and $25.00/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
⦁ Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
⦁ Experience: 2-4 years related experience.
⦁ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
⦁ Certification/Licensure: Driver’s license.
⦁ Other: Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities; attention to detail, computer literacy; and the ability to interact appropriately with all levels of employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
⦁ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and type at a computer.
⦁ Employee will also be required to stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, push and pull objects, lift/carry at least 50 lbs, and use hands and feet repetitively.
⦁ Occasionally requried to sit, climb, crouch, kneel, balance objects, and drive trucks and equipment.
⦁ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
⦁ General office working conditions, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
⦁ The employee frequently works with moving equipment.
⦁ May also be exposed to dust, gas and fumes.
⦁ May be exposed to the elements when transporting packages to and from buildings.
