• SCHEDULE: Onsite. M-F 1st shift with OT as needed (10 hours at most)

Job Description

The Process Engineering Technician supports the manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production systems. This role ensures equipment uptime, drives safety initiatives, and contributes to scalable manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Promote and maintain safety standards

• Support engineers/project managers in daily work

• Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing systems:

• Automated material handling equipment

• Conveyance systems

• Packaging/labeling machines

• Troubleshoot controls components:

• Sensors, scanners, relays, drives, servos, etc.

• Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, vendor software)

• Work with PLCs, ladder logic, and controls systems

• Develop preventive maintenance programs

• Interpret schematics and create process documentation

MUST HAVES:

• 2+ years mechanical/electrical troubleshooting experience

• 2+ years of experience with preventive maintenance in manufacturing/R&D/facilities

• Hands-on experience with PLC systems and controls troubleshooting (Allen Bradley/Rockwell preferred)

• Strong ability to troubleshoot electromechanical and pneumatic systems, including robotics equipment

• Ability to document processes and system designs

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

• Ability to lift 35 lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment

• Experience using machine shop tools and fabrication

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• 5-10+ years equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience

• Trade certification or electrical license

• Robotics programming (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka)

• CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

• Lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen)

• Quality systems/data collection experience

This is a Contract position based out of Westborough, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
