Maintenance Mechanic

## Job Summary The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic keeps production running by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility machinery. The goal is to minimize downtime through efficient reactive repairs and thorough preventive maintenance.

## Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical failures on production lines.

• Repair & Maintenance: Fix or replace worn parts (bearings, belts, pumps, gearboxes). Perform routine scheduled PMs (lubrication, alignments).

• Installation: Set up and test new machinery according to blueprints and manufacturer specs.

• Fabrication: Perform basic welding (MIG/TIG) and machining to repair or modify components.

• Logistics: Track work orders and parts usage in a CMMS database.

## Key Qualifications

• Technical Skills: knowledge of conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision alignment.

• Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and fluid schematics.

• Electrical Basics: Understanding of standard 3-phase motors, fuses, and switches.

• Safety: Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA regulations.

## Physical Demands

• Must lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces.

• Comfortable working in loud or temperature-variable manufacturing environments.
