We are seeking a motivated Level C Diesel Technician to join the fleet maintenance team of our leading Waste Collection and Recycling client in Worcester, MA. This entry-level role is designed for technicians with foundational diesel knowledge who are eager to grow their skills and advance in the trade.
Shift Options
3:00 AM – 11:30 AM
10:00 AM – 6:50 PM
Must Haves
High school diploma or GED
Basic knowledge of diesel engines and truck systems
Ability to perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, fluids, filters, lubrication, tires)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop/yard conditions
Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
Valid driver’s license
Good to Haves
6–12 months experience in fleet, automotive, or diesel shop
Technical school coursework or diesel/automotive certification
Familiarity with basic diagnostic tools
CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 12 months
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to train into Level B
Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Assist with minor repairs (belts, hoses, batteries, brakes, simple electrical)
Support senior technicians with larger repairs and diagnostics
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
Keep shop clean, organized, and safe
