Life Coach
Position Summary
We’re looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and inspiring Life Coach to join our supportive and mission-driven team. In this role, you will work directly with young adults who are striving to live independently in the community. You will provide hands-on guidance, emotional support, and practical skill-building to help individuals overcome obstacles and build fulfilling, self-directed lives.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a real and lasting impact—by helping others take meaningful steps toward independence, self-reliance, and community connection. Whether you’re teaching basic life skills, navigating resources, or helping someone find their voice, your work will matter every single day.
Pay Rate: $22 an hour
Open Shift: Tuesday through Saturday 12pm-8pm (40hrs), some flexibility required
Key Responsibilities
- Help young adults learn and apply independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, personal hygiene, transportation, and time management.
- Model healthy habits and behaviors, including wellness practices, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy.
- Facilitate one-on-one and group sessions to teach life skills, promote personal growth, and encourage peer support.
- Serve as a trusted advocate for the individuals you support—helping them navigate challenges, access services, and build confidence.
- Assist in preparing for and participating in formal and informal meetings such as treatment planning, job interviews, and social services.
- Support individuals through key transitions, including program entry, graduation, and post-program steps.
- Connect individuals to community resources, events, and peer-run groups that align with their goals and interests.
- Plan and coordinate activities that foster social interaction, skill development, and a sense of belonging within the broader community.
- Maintain accurate and timely records including progress notes, data entry, and any required reporting per agency and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with vocational, educational, and clinical staff to provide holistic support.
- Provide transportation when needed to support community involvement, appointments, or program participation.
