Architectural Designer

We are seeking a Residential Architectural/Structural Designer . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented designer with a strong background in residential building plans and a working knowledge of sizing beams, columns, truss systems and panelization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise architectural and structural drawings for residential wood-frame 1-3 story buildings.
- Create floor plans, elevations, framing layouts, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
- Work with truss and panelization software (MiTek preferred) to coordinate structural components.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and client specifications.
- Value engineering and cost effective design.
- Support permitting processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in residential architectural or structural design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit and MiTek or similar truss/panelization software strongly preferred.
- Blend conceptual design development with practical knowledge of wood frame construction techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, yet adaptable and skilled at navigating creative challenges.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and architectural drawings.
- Degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Drafting, or related field is a plus.
