Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Pediatric ICU RN)
• Location: Boston, MA 02115 (Boston healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Pediatric Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/5/2025 – End: 1/4/2026)
• Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am), 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2360-$2420
• Weekend Coverage: Required (every other or every third weekend)
• Float: May float to PICU, NICU, MSICU, CICU as needed
• Charting: EPIC electronic medical records
• Parking: Discounted day passes with shuttle service; free parking for night shift

Pediatric ICU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active, permanent Registered Nurse license (RN license – Massachusetts preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to provide 2 professional references from different healthcare facilities (from 2 of the last 3 employers)
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower rate

Pediatric Medical ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the Medical ICU
• Manage complex pediatric cases including neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, respiratory, trauma, and congenital conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to related intensive care units (PICU, NICU, MSICU, CICU) as needed
• Accurately document patient care and progress using EPIC EMR
• Participate in 12-hour day/night rotations and required weekend coverage
