FORKLIFT OPERATOR / YARD HELP

Job Description:

Team player to transport finished block from within the production areas to various storage/staging areas at the direction of the Yard and/or Production Supervisor. Work in conjunction with yard team to load and unload cement block orders from trucks, using math competency to calculate change orders, quantity of units per tier and per pallet. Ability to develop a strong working knowledge of block sizes, colors, and pallet/package counts. Able to read, understand, and follow English instruction as required by safety and job performance standards. Assist production team as needed.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

Able to lift concrete products, machine parts and other objects weighing up to 50# at heights from floor level to 4’ high. Able to assist team members with moving molds and other heavier objects.

Good eyesight, hearing, and physical stamina are essential for safety. Frequent mount/dismount of fork truck will be required. Work will entail being outside during all weather conditions

Additional Job Requirements

· Current forklift certification, minimum 2 years experience

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work every day

· Available to work overtime if needed, including weekend availability

· Must supply your own Steel/Composite toe work boots

· Assisting with production plant activities as needed

· Mechanical aptitude; daily care, maintenance, and safety inspections of forklift

· Pleasant & professional demeanor at all times when dealing with coworkers, vendors & customers
