What You'll Do

The Director of Career Services leads all aspects of career development at the Friedman School , ensuring residential and online students are fully prepared and supported in achieving their professional goals. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that addresses the career needs of all academic programs and degrees.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving Student Engagement: Design and deliver innovative programs, resources, and advising that actively engage students in career planning and job search strategies.
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement best practices for career development, employer outreach, and experiential learning opportunities.
• Team Management: Lead, train, and develop a team of career services professionals to provide exceptional student support.
• Partnership Building: Cultivate relationships with alumni, employers, government agencies, and other organizations to expand internship and employment opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with school leadership, faculty, and counterparts across Tufts and peer institutions to align career services with academic and industry trends.
• Operational Oversight: Manage budgets, facilities, technology planning, and long-term strategic initiatives in partnership with school leadership.
• Representation: Serve as the School’s ambassador at university-wide and external events to promote career services and student success.

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:

Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:

• Bachelor's Degree in student services or related field of study
• 7-9 years of directly related professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in student services or related field of study
• 8-10 years of directly related professional experience

Pay Range

Minimum $96,500.00, Midpoint $120,600.00, Maximum $144,800.00

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
