Extrusion Technician Second Shift
Seeking an Extrusion Technician on 2nd shift for a high growth manufacturing company in the Woburn, MA area. The Manufacturing Tech Extrusion will be responsible for meeting the department's productivity and quality goals. This role requires you to work as part of a team, demonstrating integrity and quality to manufacture high-quality products. As business needs change, you will be cross-trained in various value streams, making this a diverse and exciting position. Shift hours are 2:15p to 10:45p. Eligible for quarterly bonus! education: High School responsibilities:
- Material and Machine Management: Prepare, thaw, and cut raw materials from the freezer. Obtain and install dies for specific jobs, and assist with setting up and operating multiple extruder machines.
- Quality Control: Use measuring tools like calipers and verniers to evaluate and inspect work, ensuring it meets quality standards.
- Documentation and Communication: Complete daily reports and documentation accurately and on time. Troubleshoot basic issues and communicate with other departments, leaders, and engineers.
- Teamwork and Support: Work in various areas, including molding, trimming, and splicing. Support company initiatives like LEAN and High-Performance teams by assisting with training and documenting improvements.
- Safety and Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning. Follow Safety and 5S programs and use appropriate PPE, especially when working with chemicals.
