As a **Security Officer Patrol Specialist** in **Westfield, MA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. **What You'll Do:**

+ Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

+ Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor access points and verify entry activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support authorized access for employees, contractors, and approved visitors.

+ Report hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel, and assist with follow-up actions according to post orders and location procedures.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
