Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring full-time Laundry Attendants to join our housekeeping team!

Shift is 6a-2p, includes an every other weekend rotation. Weekly pay at $16 an hour.

You ensure residents' clothing and facility linens are properly cared for.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Housekeeping/laundry experience preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain laundry in an efficient, clean, orderly, safe and sanitary manner to ensure clean clothing and linen are always available to meet the needs of the residents and facility.

• All laundry must be done according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control and universal precautions.

• Follow washing instructions on each article of clothing/linen to ensure maximum care and cleanliness.

• Label unmarked clothes.

• Restock linens and return residents’ articles of clothing to their rooms.

• Other duties as assigned by team.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be willing and able to professionally work with a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public, and be able to appropriately handle residents.

• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.
