Financial Reporting Analyst
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst in Boston, MA. Summary: The Financial Reporting Analyst plays a key role in supporting mutual fund clients through the preparation, review, and delivery of financial statements, regulatory reports, and client-specific reporting. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The position also involves overseeing processes, supporting audits, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all reporting requirements are met accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and clients
- Deliver high-quality, consistent client service
- Identify and address client-related issues and help drive process improvements
- Review and deliver client-specific reports and regulatory reporting (including financial statements and regulatory filings)
- Serve as a liaison between clients and external vendors such as printers and technology partners
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Train team members on changes to regulatory requirements and internal processes
- Assign tasks and manage workload to meet client SLAs and reporting deadlines, escalating concerns when necessary
- Track and deliver KPIs tied to client agreements
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding potential service issues
- Represent Financial Reporting operations in cross-functional projects
- Support client training initiatives and help drive client self-service where possible
- Provide guidance on the proper accounting treatment of complex financial transactions and related disclosures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in financial reporting, fund administration, accounting, or custody (preferred)
- Understanding of operational risk and strong control focus
- Knowledge of business processes and systems, including downstream impacts of reporting data
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- Excellent customer service skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Effective team player with strong collaboration skills
- Leadership experience and the ability to mentor and develop staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid problem-solving and issue-resolution capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with derivatives accounting and financial reporting is a plus
