Occupational Therapist Long-term Substitute

Intermediate District 287 is looking for a long-term substitute for an Occupational Therapist with Itinerant Services!

Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K-12 as well as transition age students (18-22 years old) from our 12 member districts in the west metro area. Our district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs primarily focused on setting IV special education that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. Position Details:

• Provide occupational therapy services that include improving developing or restoring skills which will enable students to move toward independent functioning regarding physical mental emotional and educational goals
• Support students in their least restrictive educational setting
• Support staff in evaluation program planning and environmental issues

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule A: $33.17 - $65.78 per hour (depending on experience and education)
• This is a long-term substitute position from March -June (end of school year)

Requirements:

• Interested in candidates who are: diverse bilingual or have experience working with diverse populations
• Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
• Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health as an occupational therapist
• National Board of Certified Occupational Therapist (NBCOT) designation
• Previous experience fieldwork or internship in Pediatric or Developmental Occupational Therapy preferred
