The ASICS Creation Center, LLC is ASICS Corporation’s product creation office based in Boston, MA. This organization's focus is on taking innovation and product creations to new heights. The team sits across the following areas: Innovation, Performance Running, Sportstyle and Core Performance Sports.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to a Product Manager in Performance Running, the Specialist, Global Performance Running Footwear is responsible for assisting in the areas below of the execution of the product creation process.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with gathering and summarizing of global market trends and marketplace competition impacting the performance running category

• Familiar with competitors’ products (features and benefits), and seasonally update competitor matrix

• Work with key stakeholders (product managers, development, Asics’ research team in Kobe, Japan & external lab partners) to support product fit and wear testing process

• Organize and regularly update product tester database

• Lead communication and coordination with external partners for testing, insights & research projects

• Coordinate receipt and distribution of seasonal product samples for line review and testing purpose

• Communicate with product development staff overseas

• Attends and assists in relevant events throughout the year

• Manage the legal submission process for product and technology naming

• Oversee presentation templates and the recording process for key sample meetings

• Data maintenance for the product line and all its specific product data

• Assists with any additional administrative tasks for the department, including, but not limited to:

  • Global seasonal product presentations
  • Data management
  • Communication with 3rd party product testing and consumer insights partners

• Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations

• Adheres to local, state, and federal laws

• Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor related to your position/department

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience. Advanced degree in business or sports-related discipline demonstrating applied knowledge and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of direct work experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Analytics, Merchandising, or Marketing preferred

• Demonstrated experience working with the consumer goods product creation process required

• Experience working with international cultures and in an international environment a plus

• Good computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); SAP experience a plus.
