Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to provide dedicated one-on-one support to elementary students with special education needs in a public school setting. The role focuses on fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment to help students achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized assistance to students with special education needs, ensuring their safety and engagement throughout the school day
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and document observations to inform instructional adjustments
- Assist with classroom management and facilitate munication between students, staff, and families
- Support student participation in both academic and social activities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working one-on-one with students, preferably in a special education setting
- Understanding of elementary education principles and special education practices
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual student needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
Location:
- Worcester, Massachusetts, within an elementary school environment
