Description:

We are currently seeking a Laundry Attendant for our newly renovated property!

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Load articles into washer and make sure correct code is entered into machines.

· Wash clothes according to StepStone and Marriott hotel standards.

· Iron linens such as pillowcases, flat sheets, banquet linen etc; ensure proper temperature is used correctly when utilizing the iron machine.

· Sort dried articles based on item type and check for stains and damages.

· Fold and place all linen items in appropriate storage racks.

· Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution in vat to precondition for washing.

· Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when they are found

· Soak articles according to procedure in bleach.

· Pretreat stains with special solutions using safety precautions and proper procedures.

· Check and clean all filters on washers and driers every two hours.

· Deliver the cleaned linens to the appropriate closets or Department heads, as needed

· Assist with monthly linen inventory.

Requirements:

· Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.

· Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

· Hearing, writing, typing.

· Standing for long periods of time.

· Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.

· Other duties may be assigned.

· Must be flexible with work hours, appropriate for hotel business needs.
