Sterilization Logistics Technician
Be part of a global team that safeguards patient health. At STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST), we support medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer, and industrial partners through contract sterilization delivered by more than 50 facilities worldwide. For 40+ years, our work has helped ensure products used by our families, friends, and communities are safe.
What your day looks like
You’ll orchestrate the flow of customer product from arrival to release. One moment you’re moving items from unprocessed storage to the processing area; the next, you’re loading and unloading after treatment, staging pre-shipment orders, and double-checking special customer instructions. You’ll keep equipment for product movement humming, perform minor fixes, and call in Maintenance or leadership for anything major. Documentation accuracy is your north star as you place, retrieve, and analyze product monitoring devices to verify processing specifications.
When alarms sound, you investigate quickly and within safety guidelines—escalating to a Supervisor, Team Leader, or Operator as needed—and you help resolve issues. Housekeeping is part of your routine, and you’ll cross-train through our Operator curriculum to broaden your skills. As part of One Team with One Goal, you’ll uphold STERIS policies, GMP, Lean principles, and support leadership directives. In certain modalities (for example, Gamma), expect a highly physical environment that calls for strength and endurance.
