Senior Engineer
A pharma company in the Greater Boston area is searching for a Senior Level Engineer. In this role, you will be the guardian of our upstream processes-monitoring performance, leading investigations into process deviations, and driving the implementation of robust corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs). Beyond daily operations, you will act as the MS&T lead for high-impact technology transfers and process improvement initiatives, guiding the team toward operational excellence. We are seeking candidates with a BS in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or Chemistry with 5 to 8 years, MS with 5 to 8 years, or Ph.D. Candidates should also have a minimum of 2 years of process development/manufacturing experience with mammalian cell culture of recombinant proteins. Additionally, candidates need hands-on experience with large-scale cell culture/purification manufacturing processes, preferably with commercial or licensed products. This is a contract position ranging from $60-$70/hr, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, onsite. Please apply today!

- Seamlessly transition cutting-edge Phase I, II, and III clinical processes into high-performing, full-scale GMP manufacturing realities.
- Serve as the go-to technical authority for cell culture operations, troubleshooting complex process issues and optimizing bioreactor performance in real time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional dream teams (Automation, Tech Transfer, and R&D) to advance and scale our cutting-edge, real-time multivariate process monitoring systems.
- Standardize new concepts, techniques, and operational benchmarks by deploying high-level ingenuity to solve intricate, multi-variable bioprocess puzzles.
- Proactively identify, pitch, and execute continuous improvement initiatives that keep our manufacturing edge razor-sharp.
- Lead airtight investigations, decode process anomalies, and implement definitive CAPAs and change controls to keep operations flawless.
- Sharpen the skills of the manufacturing frontline by delivering elite technical training and mentorship.
- Operate with extreme autonomy-you define your own objectives and approaches without needing constant direction.
- Break down silos by collaborating with external and internal key contacts to benchmark methods and evaluate critical data.
- Take ownership of high-stakes decisions where your strategic judgment directly impacts company resources and long-term organizational success.
