JOB TITLE: Fire Extinguisher Technician

SUMMARY: The Fire Extinguisher Technician inspects portable fire extinguishers and E-Lights for customers. The technician will drive to customer sites to perform inspections on the extinguishers and E-lights.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test, inspect portable fire extinguishers, installation of new fire extinguishers and swapping out extinguishers due for service
• Inspect, emergency exit lighting systems at customer locations
• Complete inspection reports online
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, licenses and registrations required: MA Certificate of Competency 46 – license for portable fire extinguishers
• Knowledge of NFPA codes a plus
• Must maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record
• OSHA 10 card

• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• The employee must continually lift and/or move 10-20 pounds
