Mission Summary:
The Team's mission is to provide seamless, customer focused services to the entire Motional Organization, and you will be a cornerstone of this team with primary focus on indirect procurement commodities that support Motional's Engineering and SG&A teams.
What you'll be doing :
- Manage strategic sourcing process and negotiate contracts at a sophisticated level
- Effectively collaborate with cross functional stakeholders (internal and external) to develop sourcing strategies that align with budget, focus on reducing cost and mitigating risk.
- Align on sourcing initiatives with several teams including but not limited to Legal and Finance, Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, and Executive leadership
- Develop and manage sourcing events (RFx's) and vendor selection processes.
- Manage supplier management programs with defined SLAs and KPIs for key suppliers and measure the appropriate criteria, such as: delivery of business results, cost reduction, quality and timeliness of delivery
- Understand interrelationships between contracts and terms while applying creativity and sound business reasoning to interpret application of contract to business needs.
- Support supplier onboarding and purchase requisition programs for internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Procure to Pay policies and procedures.
- Communicate, manage, and drive compliance to category strategies
- Conduct research, perform benchmarking, and gather market analysis for assigned categories
- Establish preferred suppliers for assigned categories
- Ability to work flexible hours and support a global workforce
What we're looking for :
- 4 - 7 years of strategic sourcing experience within complex design and software development and manufacturing environments (consumer products, automotive, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, IT, or similar area of study. MBA, JD and CPSM, CPIM or C.P.M. certifications highly desirable
- Experience in working with a broad cross functional team in an extremely dynamic environment
- Experience working in a global environment with domestic & international suppliers
- Can do attitude, can roll up the sleeves and dive into the details quickly
- Data driven approach to tracking, monitoring and reporting on defined spend management objectives to ensure we are executing on defined goals.
- Analytical skills: spend analysis, cost modeling, and data interpretation
- Communication & collaboration: verbal, written, and presentation skills for engaging internal stakeholders and suppliers included Executive Leadership
Bonus points (not required):
- Automotive experience, especially in self driving cars
- Blue chip procurement experience (Apple, Google, Facebook, GE)
- Experience negotiating and managing Engineering service providers and enterprise software licenses
- Certification in supply chain, scrum, agile, six sigma
- Experience using Zip Procurement solution.
We encourage a hybrid schedule with in-office time at one of our locations in Boston, Pittsburgh, or Las Vegas to support collaboration, or this role can be fully remote.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs. The estimated compensation range listed in this job posting reflects base salary only. This role may include additional forms of compensation such as a bonus or company equity. Salary Range
$109,000—$142,000 USD
