Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. You will embed security controls throughout the SDLC and build secure CI/CD pipelines to protect applications and infrastructure.

Rate Range: $64/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Embed security controls throughout the SDLC, including threat modeling, secure code reviews, and risk assessments to enforce secure coding standards.

• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security scanning, policy enforcement, and secrets management across tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

• Implement cloud infrastructure security best practices using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and deploy cloud-native security solutions for AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Harden container and Kubernetes environments, ensuring RBAC, network policies, pod security, and continuous vulnerability scanning.

• Develop security automation scripts and playbooks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline vulnerability management and incident response.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) by implementing policy-as-code and producing audit-ready documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (master’s preferred).

• Minimum 10+ years in Cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security roles.

• Hands-on experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines and implementing security automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Strong expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container/Kubernetes hardening, including RBAC, network policies, and vulnerability remediation.

Pay Details: $64.00 to $68.00 per hour
