Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a busy community hospital in Massachusetts, requiring at least 3 years of Med/Surg experience plus critical care background and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Full-time, 40-hour per week day shift position in an Interventional Radiology department at a 358-bed community hospital
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Radiology and Tuesday and Friday in IR
• The IR department performs a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures across diverse clinical cases
• Nursing responsibilities span patient preparation, procedural support, conscious sedation administration, and post-procedure recovery
• 1:1 clinician-to-patient ratio
• Charting is performed in Epic
• No floating or rotating shifts required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Massachusetts RN license — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required — AHA is the only accepted provider for this facility
• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience (ICU or ED) required
• Proficiency with moderate/conscious sedation and IV access required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Works closely with Interventional Radiologists and Technologists in a fast-paced, high-volume environment emphasizing teamwork and critical thinking
• Epic charting experience is strongly beneficial given the department's reliance on the system
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but will be offered a reduced pay rate
• Time and attendance is tracked via UKG/Kronos
• Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at the candidate's expense, with daily rates typically ranging from $17–$22; public transportation is encouraged
