Essex Group Management is a family owned and operated health care management company that currently manages six skilled nursing facilities, one adult day health program, two assisted livings, a home care company and a transportation company. We are currently looking for an energetic and team focused person to join our Central Admissions Department.

The Central Admissions Coordinator is responsible for intake, clinical and financial review, admission approval of pre-admission assessment, benefit verification, room assignment, managed care authorization, medication cost out, identification of equipment needs, obtaining the necessary legal documents and monitoring of electronic referrals systems. Ensures that insurance coverages, including terms and extent of benefits, are documented prior to admission; this would include number of Medicare days available, managed care or VA rate of reimbursement, covered services, length of approval for contract residents, and the time-line for follow up with the case manager/contract person.

Nursing license is required. Knowledge of senior care needs and options available along with financial knowledge of long term care insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and other payor sources required. Must possess good interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.

• 8 hour shift
