.Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Security Solutions & Optimization will lead a team focused on advancing the security roadmap, improving security posture, and implementing innovative solutions for Point32Health. This role drives strategic security initiatives, optimizes existing controls and processes, and ensures alignment with architectural guidance and best practices.Job Description
Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing (top five):
Leadership & Strategy
- Manage and mentor a team of security engineers and specialists.
- Define and execute the security solutions roadmap to enhance organizational security posture.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, scripting, and process optimization.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security standards.
Solution Design & Optimization
- Lead research and proof-of-concepts for emerging security technologies.
- Oversee documentation and handoff to operations for new solutions.
- Implement and improve security features/configurations (e.g., WAF, IAM, encryption).
- Advance C&IS product and control maturity based on architectural guidance.
Complex Security Engineering
- Remediate complex security configurations and architectures.
- Ensure security designs and implementations follow recommended practices.
- Serve as primary SME for C&IS-related projects and initiatives.
Resilience & Compliance
- Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security standards.
Qualifications – what you need to perform the job
Certification and Licensure
Education
- Required (minimum): Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Preferred:
Experience (minimum years required):
- Required (minimum): 8-10 years of progressively responsible leadership in IT with proven experience applying security principles.
- Preferred: 8-10 years of experience managing a team, with a track record in managing cybersecurity teams and strategy. Experience working in health industry.
Skill Requirements
- The ability to be a strategic, big picture thinker while possessing analytical skills and understanding of operational details is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of security regarding hardware, software, application, and systems engineering including program management, architecture methodologies and security frameworks.
- Coaching and mentoring team members on a complex program agenda
- Effective project planning within the context of a formal security program.
- Strong collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):
- Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
- Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
- May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
