Contract Position | Full-Time | Evening Shift

Position Overview

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a respected non-profit organization in Haverhill, MA to hire a Direct Care Supervisor for an emergency shelter serving homeless adults. This fast-paced shelter supports 40+ individuals nightly and is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented supervisor to help lead evening operations, support staff, and ensure high-quality care for clients.

Location: Haverhill, MA

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 13 weeks to start (potential to extend)

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Pay Rate: $23-$24/hr (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Support Professionals during evening shift

• Assist the Shelter Director with training, staff development, and performance support

• Oversee individualized support plans and ensure consistent implementation

• Manage scheduling, documentation, incident reports, and policy compliance

• Serve as a liaison between staff, clients, families, and leadership

• Promote a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment

• Support problem-solving, conflict resolution, and daily shelter operations

Qualifications

• 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred (not required)

• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred (not required)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Valid driver's license

• Must pass CORI and driving record checks

• Ability to walk stairs and lift/move up to 30 lbs

• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated
