Of Counsel Attorney - Contested Probate Specialist

Monteforte Law, a successful Estate Planning and Elder Law firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as Of Counsel, with a focus on contested probate cases. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to collaborate with us in providing exceptional legal services to our clients.

This is a great opportunity for an attorney who doesnt want to bother with Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Chat GPT as a way to get clients. We will supply a steady caseload of contested probate matters to work on. With an Of Counsel relationship, you are able to maintain a degree of professional independence and flexibility in managing your practice. Youll have the luxury of support staff, beautiful office space, and firm marketing without the hassle and expense.

We focus on developing estate plans for moderate to high-earning individuals, families, and business owners. We also specialize in Wills, Trusts, asset protection, wealth preservation, MassHealth/Medicaid applications, probate, and other areas of elder law such as guardianship and conservatorship. We're here to help people, and we have a process that helps make it as stress-free as possible.

W hat we are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in probate and estate litigation, with a focus on contested probate matters.
  • Someone who is compassionate, as elder law is sensitive work.
  • Someone who truly enjoys talking with and helping people.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in contested probate matters, including but not limited to will contests, trust disputes, estate administration issues, and guardianship disputes
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on complex contested probate matters
  • Collaborate closely with the firm's attorneys and paralegals to develop and implement effective strategies in handling contested probate cases
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in probate law, regulations, and industry best practices
