Vice President, Business Development

The Vice President, Business Development is a strategic revenue leader responsible for driving growth through consultative, non-outsourced partnerships in the senior living and healthcare sectors. This role owns the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and executive engagement to solution design, pricing strategy, and closing—while serving as a trusted advisor to organizations seeking to elevate their hospitality and dining operations. Leveraging deep expertise in self-operated food service models and the operational and cultural challenges providers face, the VP positions our IHS advisory, CrossCheck quality assurance, and QCS culinary transformation solutions to enhance resident satisfaction, workforce engagement, operational performance, and financial outcomes. The ideal candidate combines executive presence with hands-on execution, excelling at navigating long sales cycles and translating complex needs into tailored, high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and execute a go-to-market plan to grow market share in the senior living, healthcare, and corporate hospitality sectors through consultative, non-outsourced partnerships.
  2. Pipeline Development & Outreach Identify and engage prospective clients through targeted outreach, networking, referrals, and national/regional conferences. Use data-informed prospecting strategies to expand the top of funnel.
  3. Executive Engagement Lead high-level discovery conversations with CEOs, CFOs, and executive directors to uncover operational, culinary, and cultural challenges that align with our service offerings.
  4. Solution Development & Proposals Collaborate with operations, culinary, and quality teams to create tailored solution frameworks, pricing strategies, and compelling proposals that reflect each client’s goals.
  5. Contract Negotiation & Close Own the end-to-end sales process through to contract execution—ensuring value alignment, clear scope, and successful handoff to implementation teams.
  6. Market & Competitive Intelligence Stay abreast of trends in hospitality, regulatory shifts, staffing, resident expectations, and competitor activity. Share insights to inform marketing strategy and service innovation.
  7. Cross-Brand Collaboration Partner with the IHS, CrossCheck, and QCS leadership teams to align messaging and support integrated sales opportunities across the Phoenix3 Collective ecosystem.
  8. CRM & Reporting Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, forecasts, contacts, and deal progression in HubSpot or relevant CRM platforms.

Job Requirements

  1. 7+ years of B2B sales or advisory experience in hospitality, contract dining, healthcare, or senior living
  2. Proven track record of consultative selling and closing deals ranging from $50K to $500K+
  3. Deep understanding of self-operated dining models, contract transitions, and hospitality-forward service design
  4. Experience engaging executive stakeholders and navigating multi-tiered decision-making environments
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to distill complexity into clarity
  6. Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and sales performance tracking
  7. Ability to travel up to 60% to client sites and industry events nationwide
  8. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications in healthcare, hospitality, or business preferred
