Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm , is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their thriving Real Estate Finance Practice Group , supporting their loan servicing and asset management practice. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with sophisticated institutional lender clients on complex asset management matters across a wide range of commercial real estate transactions.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction , in good standing
- 3+ years of substantive real estate finance experience in a sophisticated, large law firm setting
- Experience with loan servicing consent transactions , loan modifications and workouts , loan sales , and asset management matters
- Familiarity with CMBS , CRE CLOs , and other securitized lending products preferred
- Ambitious, with a strong drive to excel and contribute to the growth of the national practice
- Soft Skills: Exceptional writing, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as well as a strong ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel institutional lenders on a wide range of commercial real estate loan servicing and asset management matters
- Draft , negotiate , and review consent requests , loan modifications , forbearance agreements, assumption agreements, and related loan documents
- Assist with loan workouts and restructurings , including distressed debt matters
- Advise on loan sales , portfolio assets , and securitized lending transactions
- Conduct detailed due diligence and collaborate closely with finance, tax, and real estate colleagues
- Communicate directly with clients and external stakeholders to advance transactions efficiently and strategically

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Compensation : Includes an annual salary range of $250,000–$390,000 , as determined by experience and market factors
- Eligibility for a discretionary bonus
