Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant / Associate Job with TeamHealth in Framingham, MA
- Perform comprehensive and focused histories and physical examinations on patients presenting to the ED
- Formulate differential diagnoses and implement appropriate diagnostic workups
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, EKGs, and other diagnostic tools
- Provide initial stabilization and management of emergent conditions including respiratory distress, cardiac events, trauma, sepsis, and altered mental status
- Perform emergency procedures such as: laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting and casting, joint reductions, and more!
- Initiate and manage treatment plans, including medications, IV fluids, and other therapies
- Collaborate with supervising/emergency physicians and consulting services as needed
- Document all patient encounters clearly and efficiently in the electronic medical record
