Tax Manager

Kforce has an outstanding growing client that is seeking to hire a Tax Manager in Worcester, Massachusetts (MA). Summary: This client is an excellent growing accounting firm (less than 10 years old) which has doubled in size in employees in the past few years and was built by a former CPA partner who knew the key to success was a great organizational culture. Many of the clients are business owners and the firm has a very strong non-profit/mission driven clientele mix. The tax work primarily supports the business owners, their families, and related charitable entities. This client offers a great culture, compensation package, and work/life balance. This position is hybrid, the team works together 2 days weekly in office, the remainder are -work from home, - and there is plenty of flexibility as needed. Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the client's tax function including compliance, reporting, and planning
• Work closely with other departments to ensure that tax strategies align with business objectives
• Manage tax audits and respond to tax inquiries form tax authorities
• Prepare and present a tax related reports to Senior Management
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax related documents
• Team Leadership - supervise and mentor junior tax staff and interns - fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a must
• 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning, public accounting Tax supervisory or managerial experience
• Proficiency with the following applications: Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks and CCH Axcess
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with technical applications when preparing federal, state, and local tax returns
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
• Ability to analyze complex financial data
• Strong knowledge on Individual Return (1040) tax experience Required (Trusts, Partnerships, etc., all a huge plus)
