Recertification Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Recertification Specialist to support affordable housing operations by managing resident compliance, recertifications, and administrative tasks. This role partners closely with the Property Manager to ensure accurate documentation and program compliance.
Responsibilities
- Process applications and maintain low vacancy rates
- Complete annual and interim recertifications, including income calculations
- Track lease renewals and recertification schedules
- Collect verifications and prepare files for compliance review
- Maintain organized resident files and waitlists
- Assist with rent collection, posting payments, and arrearage reports
- Prepare and send required notices
- Coordinate with management and maintenance on unit turnover
- Assist with unit inspections and property marketing
Qualifications
- Affordable housing or recertification experience preferred
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Proficiency with property management software and office tools
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay range: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
- 15 days Paid Time Off, plus paid holidays
