Accounting Manager
Kforce is collaborating with a top development and manufacturing company located in the Worcester, MA area to find an Accounting Manager for their growing team. This position plays an important role in both financial reporting and daily accounting operations within a supportive, team-driven setting. This is an excellent fit for someone who prefers a hands-on approach-taking responsibility for parts of the month-end close process, working with operations on cost analysis, and helping enhance processes and systems as the organization expands. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with and help manage month-end closing tasks, including preparing journal entries, handling accruals, and reconciling balance sheets
- Collaborate with Project Managers and operations teams on aspects like cost accounting, job costing, and work-in-progress analysis
- Ensure that all financial data and reports are accurate and reliable
- Contribute to process improvements, system upgrades, and future ERP projects
- Aid leadership with initiatives linked to company growth and integrations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- More than four years of experience in accounting
- Preferred background in manufacturing, industrial services, construction, or project-based roles
- Strong skills in Excel (such as pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis)
- ERP or system implementation experience is advantageous
