Salary range compensation by hours worked is determined by several factors, including experience, seniority, the agency’s budget, and the nature of the role (e.g., short-term contract vs. full-time position). For union-represented roles, compensation will follow the applicable bargaining unit salary schedule rules and regulations.

Job Opening :
The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the seasonal position of Seasonal Recreation Facilities Supervisor II (Boat Launch Area Supervisor).
Duties Include:
The Recreation Facilities Supervisor II is responsible for the supervision of the Launch Area Attendants assigned to a dedicated Boat Launch Area. Supervision includes training, time and attendance, and performance reviews.
Boat Launch Area Supervisor II is responsible for supervising the operations of all op the Boat Launch Areas according to current policies and procedures.
Duties include the following: collecting fees for boat and motor rentals, launching of private boats, and parking; explaining rules and regulations, and answering general questions regarding the use of Quabbin for fishing.
Supervisors direct rental customers in the safe operation of boats and may be called upon to search for lost boaters.

Special Requirements:
1. Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
II. Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Standard First Aid and Personal safety Certificate issued by the American Red Cross.
III. Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operators’ License.
IV. MA Boating Safety Certificate
Qualifications
First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.
Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have at least (A) one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in the maintenance and/or repair of recreational facilities or in recreational management or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitution:
I. A certificate, diploma or degree as evidence of satisfactory completion of at least a two-year program in a recognized school above the high school level in building construction technology, electrical engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology or mechanism power engineering may be substituted for the required experience.*
Education toward such a program will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Special Requirements:
