Job Description:

Title: Allied Health Program Manager

Job Summary

The Allied Health Program Manager oversees all Allied Health training programs, including Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, and Certified Nursing Assistant. The program manager will ensure compliance with program certification requirements and implement strategies to improve and expand the Center's Allied Health certification programs, promoting and marketing new and existing offerings to prospective students. The Program Manager will also help implement continuous improvement strategies to ensure services are efficient, effective, high quality, and student-centered. The Program Manager will help advance the Center's partnership efforts by representing the Center at community and business events.

Supervision Received

The Allied Health Program Manager reports to the Director of the Center for Workforce Development.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all Allied Health programs.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements set by third-party certification bodies.
  • Interview and recommend qualified instructors for hire.
  • Support students using an asset-based approach that promotes equity and inclusion.
  • Evaluate applicants for program acceptance and verify eligibility for grant-funded programs, as applicable.
  • Monitor student attendance and provide referrals to support services when needed.
  • Ensure student compliance with externship onboarding requirements, including medical documentation and CORI/SORI background checks.
  • Assess student progress in meeting course goals and objectives.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate student outcomes and complete grant-related reporting, as required.
  • Conduct ongoing program evaluation and improvement.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate ordering as needed.
  • Collaborate with Center for Workforce Development staff to continuously enhance program quality.
  • Develop and sustain partnerships with employers, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and community stakeholders to support program awareness and externship opportunities.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to student inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Partner with the Center for Economic and Social Justice to integrate work readiness workshops into Allied Health courses.
  • Deliver presentations to businesses and community groups to promote Allied Health training programs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional materials and social media content to strengthen program visibility.
  • Update marketing materials, including flyers and website content.
  • Represent programs at college and community events to support recruitment efforts.
  • Participate in campus meetings and serve on committees as required.
  • Conduct classroom walkthroughs to ensure spaces are clean, safe, and adequately stocked.
  • Maintain up-to-date course descriptions, outlines, and syllabi.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping in compliance with institutional policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

  • Flexible including nights and weekends

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Maintains appropriate knowledge, experience, and skills in program areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage programs.
  • Committed to continuous quality improvement
  • Passionate about program areas.
  • Maintains a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and developing innovative solutions to address challenges.
  • Has three-five years of proven experience in implementing workforce development programs, including grant-funded programs.
  • Excellent written skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing projects
  • Skilled at Microsoft computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Registered Nurse Degree Preferred.
  • Experience teaching Allied Health course subjects and NHA certifying exams.
  • Experience working with students from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds who possess a wide range of academic abilities and interests.
  • Prior experience in an urban community college or with diverse populations.
  • Experience with online and hybrid courses.
  • Bilingual (Preference for Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean-Creole, or Portuguese).
  • Valid Driver's License

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000
