Role snapshot
- Own complex setups and production on Okuma Multus B300/B400 mill‑turns and standard Okuma CNC lathes.
- Translate work orders, drawings, specs, and GD&T into efficient machining strategies.
- Perform shop‑floor programming and make targeted G/M‑code edits to optimize quality and throughput.
- Tackle demanding features: compound angles and indexing, multi‑lead and other non‑standard threads, helical and worm threads, gear-like forms, and interdependent surfaces.
- Handle multiple setups, machine fixtures in place, debug first‑run programs, and propose program improvements.
Qualifications
- CNC Machinist Level 3 or 4.
- Deep experience with Okuma Multus B300/B400 and standard Okuma CNC lathes.
- Capable of setting up and operating both mill‑turns and standard lathes; able to support multiple machines.
- Comfortable reading blueprints and GD&T; fluent with G and M codes; confident making simple program edits.
- Skilled with measurement tools from hand gauges to CMM and optical comparator.
- Team-driven communicator with meticulous attention to detail.
