Shelter Staff Supervisor - Emergency Shelter (Haverhill, MA)

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a well-regarded nonprofit organization in Haverhill, MA to hire a Shelter Staff Supervisor for their emergency shelter serving homeless adults. This dynamic and fast-paced shelter supports over 40 individuals each night and is looking for a compassionate, energetic leader to join their team.

Position Overview (*Please Review Qualifications)

• Location: Haverhill, MA

• Setting: Emergency Shelter for Adults Experiencing Homelessness

• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

• Assignment Length: Initial 13-week contract with strong potential for renewal

• Compensation: $23-$25/hour, depending on experience

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and support Direct Support Professionals to maintain high standards of care

• Facilitate staff training and ongoing professional development

• Ensure individualized support plans are properly implemented

• Manage staff schedules, maintain documentation, and uphold policy compliance

• Act as a point of contact between staff, clients, and families

• Address issues and resolve challenges as they arise

Candidate Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred (not required)

• Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Valid driver's license required

• Must pass CORI and driving record checks

• Ability to climb stairs and lift/move up to 30 lbs

• COVID-19 vaccination required
