Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Lowell, MA. This role requires a dedicated professional with experience in special education to support students with diverse learning needs within an elementary caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of effective educational plans
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with an elementary caseload in special education
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction and behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and positive classroom environment
