Infant Toddler/Early Head Start Support Staff

South Shore Early Education and Care is a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit on the South Shore, Cape and Islands, South Shore Early Education and Care in Marshfield seeks IT/EHS Support Staff 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. All company benefits apply. Base hourly rate $20.61/hr., commensurate with experience, licenses, and degree.

Core Duties:

Provide clientele with a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment to help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development in relationship to the overall goal of social competency. Perform teaching activities in accordance with the EEC & EHS Head Start Performance Standards, while assuming a lead role in the classroom.

Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to increase their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in child growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and toddlers. Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned.

Core Qualifications: High School degree or equivalent, HISET, or GED. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or Spanish) helpful although not required. Must speak and understand English. No previous training is required, although it is preferred. EEC Infant Toddler certification preferred.

Minimum Requirements at employment:

· All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check; prior to beginning employment.

· Date of posting 9/15/25 deadline to apply 9/25/25; or until a suitable candidate is found.

· Valid MA state driver’s license.

· Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
