Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30 - $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and train cabling technicians to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to company and industry standards.
• Plan, delegate, and oversee daily work assignments for the cabling team.
• Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cables including CAT5/6, coaxial, and fiber optics in new construction and retrofit environments.
• Install support structures such as cable trays, conduit, J-hooks, and other cable management systems.
• Manage and oversee cable terminations, testing, labeling, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations (EIA, TIA, BICSI, NEC, and OSHA).
• Collaborate with project managers, other trades, and clients to resolve issues and maintain schedules.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and system testing to verify full functionality.
• Coordinate inventory and ensure tools, materials, and equipment are available for team use.
• Oversee rack and stack, closet buildouts, and server rack assembly.
• Provide customer support, system demonstrations, and operational guidance.
• Complete job reports and update project documentation.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems installation (lead or supervisory experience preferred).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of universal color codes for cable identification and labeling.
• Familiarity with EIA, TIA, BICSI, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead a team, manage workloads, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Possession of required PPE and a full set of basic and specialized hand tools.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, talk or hear, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at waist height for short distances, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Overhead lifting: Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds overhead for short distances
• Must be able to push, pull and move up to 75 pounds at shoulder height
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to use tools
• Must be able to regularly carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones
• Must know the universal communications color codes
• Must be able to work in tight, confided spaces at times
• Must be able to travel within territory as needed
• Must be aware of OSHA safety standards
• Noise levels are typically moderate

Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range for this position is $30 - $35 Per Hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
