Intake Lead Clinican Opportunity - Full Time

The Intake Lead will oversee the daily operational functions of Intake Team. These functions include scheduling, managing Intake issues, and delegating of responsibility to staff. Ensures that all intake staff receive general and department specific training. They will conduct assessments to determine the disposition that best addresses a patient’s needs. The Intake Services Manager will provide clinical interventions which best support the patient’s stabilization and resolution of the crisis or problem. They will work with referral sources to facilitate admissions to the behavioral health unit(s) of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the daily oversight of the facility’s intake services and intake staff
• Maintains department procedures in the following areas: census maintenance, daily census records, inquiry calls, and referrals and ensures that the level of treatment and clinical services is appropriate to all patient needs.
• Daily oversight of the admissions services policies and procedures.
• Responds to intake calls and accurately gathers information, completes Intake Form and engages access coordinator.
• Provides resources and support for patient treatment.
• Requests, gathers, and obtains information from all resources on patients to facilitate appropriate treatment decisions.
• Reviews newly admitted patient accounts daily.
• Utilizes data to complete program’s key statistical reports and generates reports
• Prepares and disseminates reports and completes required follow up(s) on activities on behalf of the Director as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or Human Services Field from an accredited college/university
• LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred
• 3-5 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Supervisor experience preferred
