DESCRIPTION:Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Account Manager II, supporting a key pharmaceutical customer as part of a collaborative account team. This position serves as the second account lead within the team, working closely with the primary Account Manager to develop and execute the overall account strategy, grow customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities across our portfolio.
The Account Manager II will have direct ownership of defined customer relationships, opportunities, and initiatives while also providing continuity and support across the broader account. This role requires close coordination with the primary Account Manager, Sales Manager, supplier partners, and other internal stakeholders to deliver a consistent and differentiated customer experience.
You will help implement account sales strategies, uncover customer needs, coordinate Thermo Fisher Scientific resources, and support revenue growth across the account. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys team selling, wants meaningful customer ownership, and is interested in developing their strategic account management capabilities within a complex pharmaceutical customer environment.
REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of sales experience, preferably in scientific/laboratory industry, or equivalent laboratory experience
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced team selling environment
• Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong territory management and strategic account planning capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for developing effective sales strategies
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team selling environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 70% within assigned territory
• Fluency in English required; additional language skills based on territory needs

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $52,600.00–$75,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
