End Of Line Operator - 1st Shift

The End of the Line Operator is responsible for operating packaging equipment, labelers, and scales to ensure finished products are properly inspected, packed, and prepared for shipment. This role involves setting up machines, inputting pricing and date codes, inspecting products for quality, and ensuring accurate labeling and packing into master cartons. The operator plays a key role in maintaining productivity, minimizing changeover times, and ensuring compliance with product specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and start packaging machine, labelers, and scales and observe operation to detect anything faulty to prevent jams.
• Will key in pricing and dates into equipment.
• Visually inspect products for any non-conforming areas, and set aside any non-conforming products.
• Will pack products as specified in procedures and pack into master cartons.
• Check lot numbers and code Dates inspect First and last Piece of product prior to pack any product into master carton.
• Responsible for minimizing changeover times and maximizing productivity.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Have basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Previous food manufacturing experience a plus.

Pay Range:

The base pay range for this role is $20.90 USD/Hourly. The listed salary range represents Kayem Foods' good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire pay ranges. Ranges are reviewed on a regular basis. An employee's rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued wage growth. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for an annual wage review. Kayem Foods complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
