See our employees in action and how you can contribute to the mission! ABOUT THE ROLEPOAH Communities is seeking a Janitor for our property Temple Landing . This a full time 30 hour role. The primary responsibility of the janitorial functions will be related to maintaining a clean property. The position will require some light maintenance responsibilities as well. Temple Landing is a 173-unit family housing development located five blocks west of City Hall in downtown New Bedford. In 2007, the property was at risk of financial insolvency. POAH was approached by the property's owner and original developer about partnering to save the housing then called United Front Homes.

ABOUT YOUR IMPACT
- Respond to housekeeping and basic repair work orders in a timely manner, resolving all issues and closing work orders within 24 hours of submission
- Transport equipment, furnishings and appliances to work area
- Assist with the turning of vacant units within three business days
- Perform clean-up of work areas
- Maintain grounds through trash management and landscaping
- Prepare for/respond to weather phenomena such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, snow, ice, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop
ABOUT YOU
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Strong verbal, written and customer service communications are essential.
- Positive attitude.
- Team player.
- Willingness to learn.
