Consolidations Consultant

The Consolidations Consultant will work in the 14 person Corporate Accounting and Finance Group based in Marlborough, MA. The position will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller, will have oversee one employee and will interface with the Corporate Controller, Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, Director of Investor Relations, Director of Tax and Treasurer. The Consolidations Consultant will also be primarily responsible for organizing the monthly consolidation of more than 25 reporting units worldwide and will work with the controllers and accounting personnel in each of the reporting locations. Other responsibilities are:

• Manage consolidations process and team to ensure all information is reconciled, and all eliminations and consolidation entries are properly posted for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
• Coordinate with local controllers and corporate accounting team on consolidation issues.
• Develop value added reporting and analysis.
• Integrate new acquisitions or new companies.
• 5-10 years' experience with consolidations and financial reporting, preferably in manufacturing.
• Advanced skills and experience with financial and accounting reporting systems. We use Planful (formerly known as Host Analytics) but comparable experience with other systems such as SAP, Oracle, BPC, SAP EPM, Hyperion or Smartview is also pertinent.
• Deep knowledge of consolidation complexities such as multi-currency translation and elimination of intercompany profits in inventory.
• Excellent knowledge of the statement of cash flows.
• Good business acumen and the ability to apply the understanding of our business to reported results to identify potential issues or unusual items.
• Excellent organization and teamwork skills.
• A desire to continuously improve and refine systems, processes, and data.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
