Periodontal Dental Assistant

Monday–Friday | No Nights or Weekends

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Periodontal Dental Assistant to join a pure periodontal specialty practice with locations in Concord and Lexington, Massachusetts . This is a full-time role supporting surgical periodontal procedures in a modern, patient-focused environment. Candidates must have a strong surgical background and be comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty setting.

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist periodontists during surgical procedures, including implant placement, bone grafting, extractions, and periodontal surgeries
• Prepare surgical operatories and maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
• Set up and break down surgical trays and equipment
• Provide chairside assistance with a strong focus on efficiency, safety, and patient comfort
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively and provide post-op instructions
• Take and review radiographs as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and charting
• Support smooth clinical flow between providers and locations

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Dental Assistant license in Massachusetts
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Prior surgical dental assisting experience (required)
• Experience in a periodontal or oral surgery practice strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, materials, and workflows
• Excellent communication skills and calm chairside manner
• Ability to work between Concord and Lexington locations

Compensation:

• Hourly rate: $28–$33 per hour
• Annualized compensation: Approximately $58,240–$68,640 per year , based on full-time employment
