Overview
How You’ll Make an Impact Epsilon is seeking a PhD Data Science Intern to join our Decision Sciences Team. As a Data Science Intern, you will apply your academic research and machine learning skills to propose effective solutions for our technology and business challenges. Your research background will determine your placement in one of our six Decision Sciences teams, each enhancing various aspects of our personalization platform. Epsilon's personalization relies on analyzing vast amounts of anonymized data online to assess a trillion advertising opportunities monthly in real-time. Epsilon’s PhD Internship Program As an intern, you’ll participate in a formal 12-week summer program developed to provide you with a comprehensive grasp of digital marketing and Epsilon’s personalization platform. During your internship, you’ll undertake a research project addressing a specific technology or business challenge, allowing you to apply your machine learning expertise practically. Lastly, you’ll receive mentorship and feedback to help you successfully present your findings and approach to the entire Decision Sciences department. What You’ll Achieve- Impact: Develop innovative solutions, with a high degree of autonomy, contributing to work that has the possibility of future integration into production systems.

- What you’ll bring with you:
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program with relevant coursework, research, and background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
- Hands-on involvement with research projects involving formulating hypotheses, exploring data, and developing models for insights
- Established track record in developing and validating machine learning models, with a strong understanding of model performance evaluation and optimization
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Scala, SQL, or R
