Salt Truck Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate salt application trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes, following site maps and instructions.
• Apply the correct amount of product to ensure effective snow and ice management.
• Load trucks with material using a skid steer (training provided if needed).
• Arrive on time and be prepared for shifts, which primarily occur between 6pm and 8am, with the possibility of extended or daytime hours following winter events.
• Adapt to changing weather conditions and work schedules as required by snow events.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable operating large vehicles in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible and extended hours during winter weather events.
• Experience operating a skid steer is a plus (training available).
